Buzz Lightyear worked for the Star Command Army, lead the young through interstellar wars against the evil alien terrorist Zurg, and was a hero who went to ∞+… While deep in space, Lightyear was pulled into a wormhole caused by Zurg. Lightyear tried everything in his power to turn his ship around but to no avail. He&his crew only had one option: abandon ship. As the ship took more damage, the rescue pods began to deplete. Lightyear allowed each member to escape as he tried to give them every last minute until finally, it was too late. Lightyear was announced dead by Star Command&the world mourned… But he did not die that day; he awoke to find himself still trapped in his ship. He tried to escape but realized he was imprisoned. This would be the first day of his new life, cast away into another dimension; Lightyear was no longer the guy he once thought he was, for now… He was wrapped away as an action figure&on his way to a birthday party for a young boy named Andy.
To Infinity and Beyond, by Dan LuVisi.
I went a tiny bit nuts with this commission and decided to go all 19th-century-woodcut. I love doing stuff like this. It brings warmth to my cold, dead heart. Look at how pretty it isssss
Also keep your eyes peeled because I’m opening for commissions again soon and you can get one of these of your very own!
Warm up drawing, of Khan Noonien Singh. Star Trek has some of the best antagonists.
